These terms cover buying My Brother Doesn't Look Like Me and any other titles from Bessie Bouchier Books at bessiebouchierbooks.com. By placing an order, you agree to them. If anything's unclear, email bessiebouchier@gmail.com before you buy — we're happy to help.
We sell physical, printed children's picture books. We do our best to show each book accurately, though slight variations in colour can occur between screens and print.
Prices are shown in Euro (€). If you're shopping from outside the Eurozone, our checkout may display the price in your local currency for convenience; the charge is taken in that currency at the rate shown. Payment is taken securely at checkout through Stripe, and your order is confirmed once payment is successful. We may cancel and fully refund an order if a book is unexpectedly out of stock or if there's an obvious pricing error.
We ship worldwide from Cyprus, usually via Cyprus Post with tracking. Orders are typically dispatched within 2–3 business days. Delivery times vary by destination — roughly 1–2 weeks within Europe and 2–4 weeks elsewhere — and are estimates, not guarantees, as final delivery is handled by the postal service.
For destinations outside the EU, any import duties, taxes or customs charges are set by your country and are the buyer's responsibility.
Changed your mind? You can return your book within 14 days of receiving it. It must come back unused and in its original condition, and return postage is at your own cost. Once we receive it in good order, we'll refund the price of the book.
Book arrived damaged or faulty? We'll put it right — just email us a photo within 14 days of delivery and we'll send a free replacement (or, if we can't replace it, a full refund). You won't be charged for return postage on damaged items.
To start a return or report a problem, email bessiebouchier@gmail.com with your order details. Nothing in these terms affects your statutory consumer rights.
The story, text, illustrations, and all content of our books and this website are the property of Bessie Bouchier Books and its illustrators, and are protected by copyright. Buying a book gives you a copy to enjoy — it does not grant any right to reproduce, copy, resell commercially, or distribute the content.
We take great care with our books and our shop, but to the extent permitted by law, our liability for any order is limited to the amount you paid for it. This does not limit liability that cannot legally be excluded, including your statutory consumer rights.
These terms are governed by the laws of Cyprus. This does not remove any consumer-protection rights you have under the law of the country you live in.
